About Us

Kenna Ehman & Lauren Kunijo opened Kenna Kunijo [kuh-nee-oh] in March of 2018. Kenna Kunijo was created with a fire and drive to empower women with confidence that comes from deep within. Our mission is to provide quality craftsmanship, using products close to nature, that will help you obtain your hair goals.

What We Stand For

At Kenna Kunijo, all are welcome and all are honored. We believe in collaboration over competition, education over ego, and generosity over self-interest. We’re committed to creating a salon where stylists can grow, share knowledge, celebrate one another, and become better together. We believe beauty goes beyond the chair—and that the way we serve our clients, our team, and our community should leave a lasting impact.

How We Give Back

We love Charlotte and want to give back to our community. A portion of every dollar spent at Kenna Kunijo is donated to the Hope for Justice North Carolina Regional Center (formerly Lily Pad Haven), an organization that provides support and housing for survivors of human trafficking. All profit from product sales on Fridays is given to our organization of the month, which is strategically selected to create maximum impact within our city.
